This is Myra and Natalea here. Today was our first night in Belize. We had to be at the airport at 4 am. The plane ride was smooth except that there was a little bit of turbulence getting into Belize. Once we got there we meet our tour guides Javier and Juan. We went to eat lunch at this place called Cheers. As we were eating, the kind people there had pre-ordered a cake for Natalea and we all sang Happy Birthday. After we completed our meals we headed back to the van for two hours to our final destination which was our resort. The walk to the camp site is about 9 minutes. Once we got there we had orientation Then we just got to relax and eat dinner. After dinner we had a long 45 minute talk about how we were gonna help the community and amping out. After that our adventurous day came to an end. See you guys tomorrow peace out.
MJ & ND We have arrived safely in Belize City and we are on our way to san ignacio! We all had a great time on the flights to ATL & BZE, very little turbulence and great seating arrangements. There was lots of sleeping and movie watching and even a few pages of science homework!
'Twas the night before our Belize trip and all through the school, students could be heard whispering... staying up all night is cool.
Tonight the final count down begins and Mrs. Dry and I strongly advise a full night of rest before we depart! Upon arrival we will work with the Howard Smith School to tile and grout their computer room! See you all bright and early at the Delta check-in counter of BWI (concourse D) at 4:00 am. Please email Ms.McAuliffe or Mrs. Dry with any questions. |
